3-Percenter : Wherefore Art Thou?
Tuesday, 10 August 2010
My next Blog will be about the FIFA World Cup. For now, I want to tell you about the 'absent' characters on the world stage today… the 3-Percenters.

2010 : The Second Half
Tuesday, 13 July 2010
Most sports people understand the term, 'second half'. It comes immediately after half-time. At the end of the game, some bore will remind us that it was 'a game of two halves'.

The Kiwi Renaissance - Will you play?
Tuesday, 01 June 2010
Renaissance is usually misspelt. It is often misrepresented. It was more than a romantic advance of the arts in Europe.

The Rise and Rise of Nonsense!
Tuesday, 18 May 2010
Here is the bad news… 'Life is so simple, it's embarrassing.' I know. It took me yonks to learn that. I'm still learning. I won't ever graduate, but during my 'study of life', I notice, with consternation, the rise and rise of Nonsense.

Bungling is back. The Peter Principle lives on
Tuesday, 13 April 2010
Once upon a time there were two Canadian guys. One was teacher, educator and ’hierarchiologist’ (well, look it up then),  Dr Laurence J Peter (1919-1990) and the other wuz, playwright, screen writer and lecturer, Raymond Hull (1919-1985).

We used to be #8 Wire types... but, has the fence broken?
Tuesday, 16 March 2010
Yes, yes, 2010 began ages ago. It should have started in October 2009, but around here we only plan until next Tuesday. Which makes Mondays a titch difficult.

TRIENNIUM3 - This is it!
Friday, 06 November 2009
I didn’t borrow the sub-title, ‘This Is It’, from the film made of the flawed genius that was Michael Jackson. Firstly, it was used to usher in the new millennium, in the pouring rain, at the Auckland Domain, on December 31 1999-January 01 2000.

Generation NOW! The final bit of Three Parts...
Thursday, 01 October 2009
Some of you did not read the first two parts of my trilogy about the ‘generations thing’, didja? Please keep up! Stop twittering, YouTubing and Facebooking long enough, to make an occasional foray into ‘Real World’.

Little Boxes - The second of Three Parts...
Thursday, 10 September 2009
I hope you enjoyed the first part of my ‘generational trilogy’ in the August issue of Business to Business (the monthly motivator to the visionary courageous!).

The 'Generations' Myth! A hoot in three parts...
Wednesday, 12 August 2009
Maybe ‘he’ woke one morning, rose too quickly, banged his head against the bathroom door and, instead of seeing stars (like normal people), voilà, he saw ‘generation clusters’. And they were chronologically different. You and I would have explained that as, some folks being older or younger, than others.

If not me... who? If not this... what? If not now... when?
Wednesday, 15 July 2009
At the water cooler. ‘Hey. Have you heard?’ The nearest hearer replies, ‘Heard what?’ The second, hearer (post-yawn), chips in with, ‘Are you gonna tell us, or do I have to go back to, you know… work?’

Psst! It’s no fun under the bed…

A Maverick is duty bound to be ‘different’. He or she is committed to providing an ‘alternative viewpoint’ to everything. We are ‘contrarians’. We have to perform the ultimate balancing act, of seeing both sides of the situation simultaneously, while offering intelligent, unbiased comment. I do that!

'Different' is the Buzz!
Monday, 11 May 2009
President Obama had few slogans for his 2008 campaign. They were very short, to match the concentration span of the ‘txt’ generation, which used to be called, the ‘next’ generation. Anything longer than seven words, and they txt back… ‘wat pls rept.’

W.I.I.F.U - Greetings you Utopians
Tuesday, 07 April 2009
Once upon a time (well, I’m allowed…) a proud father decided to celebrate his daughter’s promotion in a local company, by signing both her and himself, into my course, The TERRIFIC Seminar. He suggested she ask her boss for the two days off, one in each successive weeks.
