World Class Awards
At the 2008 World Class New Zealand Awards, the HSBC Supreme Award went to Peri Drysdale, founder of the leading clothing labels Snowy Peak and Untouched World, as well as the Untouched World Charitable Trust.

Westpac Manukau Business Excellence Awards
Metalman N.Z. Limited won the Westpac Manukau Business of the Year Supreme Award at the awards night in Auckland. Owned by motorsport personality Clark Proctor, who has forty years’ experience in the industry, Metalman is a private family-run business employing more than 50 people that competes very successfully with big Australian conglomerates, and has enjoyed substantial growth in its first seven years.

Design in Business Awards
Luxury shower and tapware manufacturer, Methven Limited, was the major winner of the Design in Business Award 2008, organised by the Designers Institute of New Zealand in association with Better by Design.

Unlimited/JRA 'Best Places to Work in New Zealand' Awards
Southern Cross Travel Insurance (owned and operated by Southern Cross Benefits Limited) won both the small workplace category and the overall category in the Unlimited/JRA “Best Places to Work in New Zealand” awards.

Supporting business has become big business for many companies and it has more than paid off for MYOB New Zealand Limited (MYOB). At the Vero Excellence in Business Support Awards, they were a finalist in the Large Business over $10m turnover category, before going on to be named Supreme Winner 2008.

Top Shop Awards
Albany New World supermarket not only won the Supermarkets Category of this year’s Top Shop Awards, it was also declared Auckland’s top shop at the recent awards dinner in the Sky City Convention Centre.

Pride In Print Awards
Penrose company Original Screen took away the Supreme Award at the Pride In Print awards held in Auckland. The winning entry was a poster produced for Wella Koleston that judges hailed as being of “amazing” quality. The “Hair Comes Alive In Our Hands” poster was rated as being “an absolutely superb example of a large-screen format screen print. Beautiful shadow, mid-tone and highlights created an excellent result.”
