Run The Red was awarded an impressive array of awards including 3 gold AXIS awards, 1 silver AXIS award and 1 bronze AXIS award. The wins spanned two groundbreaking mobile campaigns, partnered with ad agencies Clemenger BBDO and Colenso respectively on campaigns - ‘Distracted Drivers’ for Land Transport New Zealand and ‘Pass the parcel’ for Vodafone’s 10th Birthday. “Clemenger BBDO and Colenso came up with some stunning ideas. Our job was to make them happen, and that meant using creativity and cutting edge mobile technology to make sure the execution maximised the power of the ideas”, chief executive for Run the Red, Ben Northrop, said. ‘Distracted drivers’ is an innovative campaign that encourages users to visit a website, and send a text to an onscreen driver; the user’s text appears on-screen, the driver responds to it with devastating consequences. ‘Vodafone’s 10th birthday’ was an enormous game of Pass the parcel played on mobile phones. Users were asked to send texts to Vodafone, if a music track being played at Vodafone had stopped at the time the user’s text arrived, they would win a prize. To add to the company’s growth Run The Red has recently engaged with a leading US technology company. “Our new relationship with the US company gives us a great start to the year. It means they are not only an international reseller they also increase our offering to their large customer base. We’re pleased to be raising capital and securing a new strategic partner in these challenging times,” Northrop said. |
