Owned by motorsport personality Clark Proctor, who has forty years’ experience in the industry, Metalman is a private family-run business employing more than 50 people that competes very successfully with big Australian conglomerates, and has enjoyed substantial growth in its first seven years.

“It is a pleasure to have finally dragged the scrap metal industry kicking and screaming into the 21st century. To achieve this recognition for the company and the industry, that we are proud to be a part of is very satisfying,” Managing Director, Clark Proctor said.

Through pure professionalism, attention to detail and a desire to achieve results, the company has turned the ‘down and out’ image of the scrap metal industry on its head, becoming one of the country’s most respected businesses.

Judges said that Metalman is guided by inspirational, customer focused and visionary leadership, that it sets industry benchmarks through innovation, and that it is poised for significant export success.
