Offering drama classes and acting workshops as well as live theatre productions, Howick Little Theatre solves the problem of what to do on a quiet night. Despite the prolific presence of TVs, videos, DVDs and cinemas, live performances continue to be popular, and Howick Little Theatre produces five high quality live plays each year. This is no mean feat, considering that the organisation is predominantly a voluntary business, and each production has a different script, director, stage manager, production co-ordinator, cast, crew and set. “It’s a challenging business, but also a very rewarding business,” says Kathy Bigwood, Marketing Manager.
