The ICEHOUSE has been named as the major prize sponsor for the Westpac Waitakere Business Awards, with a $15,000 prize programme.
One lucky business will get the chance to be mentored by some of the world’s best business brains at this year’s Westpac Waitakere Business Awards.
The ICEHOUSE will be providing the winner of the Douglas Pharmaceuticals Best Large Business award with a place in the company’s innovative and award winning Owner Manager Programme, valued at $15,000.
In addition to working with established and mature business owners, they work with a number of start-up businesses and have recently been named one of the top 10 start-up incubators in the world by Forbes magazine.
The Owner Manager Programme aims to heighten business acumen and encourage awareness of what factors can drive company growth.
Skill-building sessions with The ICEHOUSE coaches and external experts will help the winning attendee to gain the confidence and know-how to put progressive plans in place for themselves and their company.
The ICEHOUSE Owner Manager graduates describe the programme as a 'business and life-changing experience'.
“It will change your goal of buying, ‘the bach, the boat and beemer’ to buying ‘the island, the launch and helipad,” recent graduate Miranda Smith said.
“We have worked in partnership with The ICEHOUSE on a number of projects with proven results,” acting chief executive Waitakere Enterprise Susan O’Meagher said.
“The Owner Manager Programme is renowned for the impact it has on participants and their businesses.
“The ICEHOUSE aims to get alongside people who want to transform their businesses and help New Zealand grow talent, which makes for a complementary relationship with the Westpac Waitakere Business Awards,” chief executive the ICEHOUSE Andrew Hamilton said.
“The awards are a celebration of the legacy of business ownership in the Waitakere region, and are also a chance to encourage development and future success,” Ms O’Meagher added.
This is second time The ICEHOUSE has been involved with the Awards. In 2008, they put up the prize for the Supreme Award.
• The ICEHOUSE $15,000 prize excludes meals, accommodation, transfers and air travel.
