A company that provides an email marketing service to some of our largest companiess won the Vero Excellence in Business Support Award. Ponsonby-based company Jericho won the BDO Spicers Business under $5million turnover – one to many offering award.
Jericho developed its own software, SmartMail, which enables Jericho’s clients to send branded permission-based email communications and to measure responses to these emails. It currently provides the country’s only comprehensive whitelisting services (list of contacts that the user deems are acceptable) to its clients which include Ezibuy, Flybuys and Telecom, through to one-person operations.
“Excellence in business is more important than anything else,” Roger Bell, Chief Executive of Vero Insurance, the Foundation Sponsor of the awards, said. “The point of these awards is that the winners don’t end up just being excellent on one aspect of business – it goes right across the business – across leadership, strategy, people, processes and the results from all of those things. So it’s not just narrowly defined.”
