Chelsea Sugar Excellence in Export Award
Locally developed products being sold to countries around the world in a structured and organised way led to a major award for a North Shore company in the Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards.
WinScribe, a world-leading provider of digital dictation software supporting business requirements for dictation, transcription, voice recognition and workflow management, was founded in 1989 and has offices in the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Switzerland.
“We are very pleased with the award. We worked hard for many years to strengthen exports, and it’s a recognition for all that work,” chief executive Matthew Weavers said.
Judges described the company as boasting very high levels of systems in place at governance, management and operational levels.
“Objective measures are used to assess new market opportunities so that good quality delivery is achievable and customer satisfaction maintained at high levels.”
“There is a realistic and experienced attitude that obstacles are common in export, but each one has been addressed in a clear and logical way. It is good to see that future market expansion plans are in place and being implemented on a solid step-by-step basis.”
The company has more than 100 sales partners in more than 25 countries supporting an estimated half million users worldwide.
“WinScribe is firmly committed to providing the very best solution to the clients we serve. On-going research and development ensures that we offer the most advanced solution to meet our customers’ requirements,” Mr Weavers said.
“Although our product has evolved over time, our ‘can do’ approach remains firm. Here at WinScribe, we always strive to provide the best product, the best service and the best support to our customers.”
The WinScribe solution is built on Microsoft architecture, to ensure easy integration and maintenance. WinScribe also supports a wide range of manufacturer-independent dictation devices and is scalable from small, single office locations up to large multi-national corporations. WinScribe is fully customisable to meet the needs of a number of significant markets including legal, law enforcement, healthcare, transcription, insurance and government sectors.
“The needs of the global dictation market are rapidly and continually evolving. Workplace practices change, and what was suitable five years ago may no longer be applicable today. WinScribe aims to ensure our product continues to reflect market requirements appropriate for each unique geography that we serve.”
WinScribe recently launched WinScribe OnDemand, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. It was developed to meet the needs of firms of all sizes within target markets, and WinScribe is the only vendor in the digital dictation market place offering this flexible solution to its clients.
“We wish to congratulate WinScribe on its superb efforts in exporting,” Enterprise North Shore chief executive Terry Hoskins said. “Exporting is an integral part of North Shore’s economic future, and it is heartening to see companies such as WinScribe leading the way.”
