While some guests choose to drive the short distance to the centre of Queenstown, this new option by water taxi service will now enable them to soak up the local scenery during the ten minute trip.
The Pier brings other enjoyable benefits which include; water transfers direct to Queenstown Golf Glub, easy access to jet boating on the Kawerau River and being an exclusive gateway to the Rees’ private fishing package at secret spots around the coves of the glacial lakefront.
“Being an absolute waterfront property, it made sense for us to fully utilise our strategic position on Lake Wakatipu. We’ve been delighted during the Rugby World Cup to officially open the Pier with an inaugural departure on a ‘Thunder Jet’ by the Classic French rugby greats,” says Chief Executive of The Rees Hotel, Mr Mark Rose.
The Rees Hotel water taxi currently operates daily from approximately 12pm – 10.30pm. The hotel uses both; Queenstown Water Taxis and Thunder Jet drivers. Guest departing for Queenstown centre disembark at Pier 19, near the water taxi stand on Earnslaw Park.
Fares are NZD$10 for one way or NZD$15 return. All bookings should be directed to The Rees Hotel Concierge Desk Telephone:+643 450 1108 Email: email@example.com
