Liquor brands provide winning ‘mix’ at industry awards

Two Independent Liquor brands have become the toast of town, winning bronze awards, following four days of blind tasting.

Woodstock - four-year-old Bourbon - and Vodka Cruiser - Wildberry and Electric Pink - were announced as the spirits most suited to the Asian taste profile at the 2011 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition.

Independent Liquor general manager marketing, Adam Maxwell, says he is delighted with the recognition.

“The awards are an acknowledgement of our investment in market research and development of our brands and we are seeing strong demand in Asian markets for both Woodstock and Vodka Cruiser.”

The brands were tasted by judges from throughout Asia, with evaluated products entered from countries including: Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Italy and Argentina.
